"Oh no, Sverrir has just visited my village a couple times. My mother uses some of the plants from his pond for her potions." Eira could tell that Kailee was a bit nervous and she could understand, Sverrir wasn't the most normal looking person.

"Oh, okay," she nodded, looking the boy over again, but trying not to be rude about it. "Well, I wish I could help, but I'm afraid I haven't seen any violins lying around either. Sorry."

"If you do see it, please let me know," Sverrir said, tactfully ignoring the inspection. "I am beginning to wonder if someone 'borrowed' it... though who would be foolish enough to take a fossegrim's violin, I cannot guess."

"Perhaps they didn't know it was yours."

"Sorry...but a fossewhat?" Kailee asked in confusion quite discourteously.

"Fossegrim. We are not exactly... well-known. Have you heard of nixies, or river-mermaids? The fossegrim are male counterparts to the nixies, though we tend to be somewhat less malevolent..." Sverrir explained absently, still pondering Eira's suggestion that it was possible to not know who owned an instrument. As a being connected so very closely with music, the lake-spirit could sense the aura of any musical device's owner in the music it played, and long periods without contact with others to prove otherwise had led him to assume that it was the same for everyone.

"Oh...wow. This school really IS diverse, isn't it?" Kailee commented with a nervous chuckle. She knew she shouldn't have expected different, but nonetheless she couldn't help but feel taken offguard after a life of being around nothing but normal people.

"Don't worry, you're get used to it." Eira said, noticing Kailee's nervousness.

"Yeah, I'm sure I will," Kailee nodded, taking another deep breath. "So while we're on the subject, is there anything else you know of that I should brace myself for?"

"Well the headmaster is a Grimm Reaper."

Sverrir laughed softly, a sound at once perfectly normal and perfectly strange. "Miss Eira, I have lived here for near three centuries, and even I am not accustomed to this place yet."

Kailee laughed lightly, thinking that she was just joking...but it died quickly when she saw the way the other two were staring at her. "Oh...well I guess I should try my best not to get into trouble, shouldn't I?"

"Do not worry too much. He seems to be a good man... or spirit, I suppose."

"Um, do you know from personal experience or just rumor?"
